Membership in the Izaak Walton League is open to everyone who shares our interest in conservation. You can be either a Chapter member or a Member-at-Large ("MAL"). Within these categories, there are both individual and family memberships. To join a Florida Chapter, contact the appropriate Chapter President. The Florida Division is looking for potential members to start a new chapter in the Stuart area to serve Palm Beach, Martin and St. Lucie Counties.
If you are interested in forming a new Chapter in your part of the State of Florida, please call the Florida Division for help in starting a new League chapter.
If you live in another state and want to learn if there is a chapter there, or how to start a chapter there, please call the National IWLA membership office at 1-800-IKE-LINE.
If you are too distant from any existing chapter, and aren't interested in starting a new chapter to address the conservation issues in your area, you may want to become either a national IWLA member-at-large or a long-distance member of a local Florida chapter which is working on issues you are concerned with. If there is any doubt, join a local chapter because by doing so, you will help that chapter deal with important issues in the area, while you will also get the same benefits as a Member at Large.
If you have any questions about membership, please call either the Florida Division office [(941) 992-1478] or national IWLA at 1-800-IKE-LINE.
Chapter dues in Florida vary from chapter to chapter but are about $42.00 for individual chapter membership, and about $63.00 for family chapter membership, depending on which chapter you join. The dues for new chapter will likely be about the same.
National IWLA Member-at-Large membership is $27.00 for individual MAL membership and $42.00 for family MAL membership.
In addition to the above classes of membership, there are several more levels of national membership, including:
There are also Student Memberships at a reduced rate. Call either the Florida Division or a local chapter for details.
The League needs the help of everyone who shares our concern for conservation.
